About 13 minutes into the episode, Lucy digresses into talking about the cute-but-deadly poison dart frog, following which Ben remarks "technically Nature Corner".

Roughly 23 minutes into the episode, Andrew quotes a former Greens staffer who many years previously had satirically Tweeted that Muslims wanted to "ban my favourite hobby, greasing myself up in pig fat and oinking like a grunter". Although not a direct reference to Boonta Vista cryptid [[thegrunter|The Grunter]], we're going to speculate that this informed Ben's description of that being in an [[episode_259|episode]] several years later.
