Netherlands Corner / Dutch Watch

Netherlands Corner, also known as Dutch Watch, is where the hosts are racist against the Dutch. This is okay, because the Dutch aren't really a race, and also they deserve it. It's one of the most common segments on the show, and follows a few ongoing topics. The preferred English-language news source used for this segment is dutchnews.nl. The “far less reputable” alternative English-language news source is the NL Times - take everything they say with a grain of salt.

Netherlands Corner has also been referred to as:

  • Dutch Corner, a frequently used alternative name
  • Netherlands Watch
  • Netherlands Watch Corner, used only once
  • Neiderlander Corner, used only once
  • …and probably many others. The hosts can't seem to keep this one straight at all.

Recurring topics

Zwarte Piet

The Dutch apparently love blackface at Christmas. Boonta Vista began following this issue before they officially created this segment.

Episodes discussing Zwarte Piet (and derivatives):

Doctors' "anonymous" inseminations

Dutch fertility doctors and gynaecologists love inseminating women with their own sperm rather than the sperm the women were expecting.

Episodes discussing these extremely crook inseminations:

Doctors ranked by number of known illegal children (based only on information in episodes):

  • Jan Karbaat - at least 70 children. Discussed on Episode 236.
  • Jan Wildschut - at least 47 children between 1980 and 1994. Discussed on Episode 236.
  • Jos Beek - at least 21 children between 1973 and 1986. Discussed on Episode 236.
  • Henk Nagel - at least 1 child. Discussed on Episode 236.

Efteling

Efteling has a lot of racist attractions, and they're really slow (and reluctant) to remove them. The hosts have been told off for calling it “Efteling” (rather than “The Efteling”).
