Segments
Timestamp | Segment | Notes |
---|---|---|
0:00:00 | Intro Scenario | See above. |
08:50 | Stuff We Should Chat About (Stuff We Should Chat About) | After Ben plays the X Watch stinger, Andrew improvises a possible stinger melody for the segment. Ben wants to talk about how when other people are overheard talking about their jobs, problems or lives on the phone, they sound really stupid and he proposes that this is because only his life is cool and interesting. Theo counter-proposes that Ben's problems are stupid. A discussion about looking at other people's phones on the plane leads Theo to reveal that Singapore Airlines have Fallout 1 on their inflight entertainment system. The other hosts don't believe him and proceed to gaslight him until Lucy discovers that this is in fact true. |
15:50 | The Boonta Vista Hotline (Mail Bag) | Listener Graham writes in to say that the title of the bonus episode My Car Lives In The Swale reminds him of an earlier bonus episode titled Burying All Kinds Of Secrets In The Iowa Cornfields. On the story of a car discovered in an Idaho lake, Graham reveals that he knows the fisherman who discovered the car. Graham proposes a list of sites for the BV team to visit, many with connections to past episodes of the podcast. Listener Holly writes to Lucy about bonus episode Junk In The Trunk from 2020. She wants to know what befell Lucy's 50 lb order of Costco flour. Lucy concludes that Jesse took custody of the flour in the divorce. |
33:02 | America Watch (America Watch) | Theo inadvertently makes the pod political by mentioning Trump's inauguration and subsequent signing of a huge number of distinctly evil executive orders. From WYOU (The You) in Pennsylvania: Pennsylvania Grandfather In Legal Battle Over Back Yard Coaster. |
