Intro Scenario
Holiday Boonta Vista theme. Oops! The hosts are all meat. Sentient meat with the capacity for speech and thought. This is not a metaphor for the kind of horror of the physical being, as is often explored by Cronenberg. They're literally various kinds of delicious meat, albeit conscious and capable of feeling pain when consumed. Theo is a cheese Kransky. Ben is a Wagyu Porterhouse cut. Ben sees a parallel with the short story They're Made out of Meat by Terry Bisson. Theo guesses Ben means Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, but dismisses both comparisons. Andrew is a dry rubbed rack of beef ribs, and immediately derails the intro into an extended discussion about the comparison between various cuts of beef ribs in Australia and the US. Andrew then accuses Theo of popping the pockets of cheese on his sausage skin like zits.
